Little baby Marshwiggle turned three this month. And, being the wonderful Aunt that I am, I am sending his gift late. Shoot. I sent his card late last year too. I hope I get better at the timing of this as he gets older and starts noticing. For now, I figure he will enjoy getting gifts in the mail no matter what day it is without even a thought as to how late it is.

I tried a new technique with his gift. Boy, did I have fun! I highly recommend it. It's the kind of easy project that turns out well with little effort. Sometimes those are necessary for the soul.
I found some wonderfully detailed instructions
here.
A picture mid-project. At this point I had just cut out the stencils and ironed the freezer paper to the shirts.

A second mid-project picture. I had just painted the fabric. I used puffy paints and just painted the colors on with a paintbrush.

Here they are completed.

Happy Birthday, little guy.
**Update: when my nephew received his shirts he said (referring to the black one), "I always wanted this shirt. It is my favorite." He is too cute!**
